John Livernois

With a 40-year background in business operations, senior management and accounting John brings expertise to the table that his clients find invaluable. A long-time Chico resident and a 1984 graduate of Chico State University, John worked in the corporate world for the first phase of his career and often worked as a liaison between the field offices and the company. The positive experiences there have led to a solid foundation for helping his clients, not only achieve their dream, but to do so with the peace of mind that he is part of the team working towards their success.

As an Enrolled agent, John is the primary tax preparer here and as such is highly trained and educated in everything tax!

Outside of the office John enjoys all things outdoors. He is a self-proclaimed foodie and if you have an hour or so he’ll tell you the many stories of the dozens of restaurants he’s worked in through the years.

John also serves as CFO on the Board of Directors for The Lassen National Park Foundation, a non-profit organization.

Piper Livernois

Owner | Office Manager | Payroll and Accounting Specialist

After 25 years in the retail sector and management, Piper has the experience it takes to help her clients manage their businesses more smoothly.  She also has years of experience as a payroll administrator and bookkeeper.  As Piper puts it, “how better to serve a client than by having shared the same experiences and concerns”.  As Padgett’s payroll specialist, Piper provides one on one service to our payroll clients that is a step above the rest.

Jennifer Harjo

Accounting Assistant

Jennifer joined our team in 2018 as an accounting assistant. She works closely with our team to ensure that our client’s financial information and records are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.

She also has over 13 years of varied administration and accounting experience in the corporate world. Jennifer is dedicated and works with integrity and value.

Born and raised in Southern California, she enjoys being with her family and pets in her free time.

Juan Baca

Accounting Assistant

After starting as an intern, Juan is now the newest addition to our team. Juan is pursuing his dream of becoming a CPA and is currently studying Business Administration-Accounting at CSU Chico.

His commitment to excellence and drive to constantly learn makes him a valuable asset to our team. Juan works alongside staff to assist wherever he can and handles a multitude of special projects. With Juan's understanding of technology, he has quickly become our go-to expert for implementing new technology initiatives as our practice evolves as a modern firm.

Juan has lived in Chico since 2009 and finds great joy in assisting local businesses which help build, what he considers, his hometown.
